House Joins Senate with Vote to Keep Government Open

By January 19, 2024No Comments

The House:  314 to 108

The Senate:  77 to 18

The Result:  The legislation keeps the Federal government open until March 1; the government continues to operate under the restraints of last fiscal year’s funding.  That fiscal year ended September 30th, 2023.

Congress has not passed a Budget.  The Budget was due September 30th of last year.  There has been no funding for Ukraine — the most critical foreign policy challenge facing the Western World and democracies everywhere; no funding and no plan for border security, no Farm Bill, and no “plan ahead” ability for any part of the Federal government.
