Albert Einstein defined INSANITY as doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results, so here we are. Michael Johnson is Speaker. The hard-right conservative House Republicans are once again mad, whining, and threatening, but this time, other Republicans are losing their patience.
The expectation is that more traditional Republicans and Democrats will join together to protect the top-line financial deal that House Speaker Johnson, Senate Majority Leader Schumer, and President Biden agreed to (again!). If this is correct, the hard-liners will be left out in the cold, once again proving they failed to learn to share (cooperate and compromise) in kindergarten and haven’t learned anything since. They cannot govern.
