Author Shirley Whiteside nails it. Iowa’s water is dirty and full of chemicals, while all too many of Iowa’s leadership are in denial. “SHHH … Don’t Tell” is the modus operandi. Even the University of Iowa wants to keep the secret that most of Iowa’s well water is undrinkable and unswimmable.
Iowa’s governor favors factory farms, and with little or no enforcement, these factory farms are greatly contributing to the contamination of Iowa’s water. An overdose of farm chemicals also contributes.
