“…The program aims to support the nutritional and health needs of low-income women, infants, and children up to the age of 5. After enrollment decreased from 2019 to 2021, those numbers began to climb again in 2022. In March 2023, the U.S. reported the highest numbers in a few years, with approximately 6.6 million women, infants, and children in the program. …”
