Rural Citizens Miss Out on Healthcare

Texas and North Carolina are two of the top four states with the largest rural populations that have failed to sign on to Medicaid Expansion.  Now add Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Wyoming to the list.  Every one of these states has significant rural populations.

Dare we say it?  Quality health care goes hand in hand with food security.  We could also add gun safety to this list, but for now, let’s just ask why these 12 states deny health care to so many of their citizens.
