Once upon a time, we all knew the answer to this question, but it seems there are two Republican Parties.
The traditional Republicans who we knew and liked former Iowa Governor Bob Ray and former National Republican Party Chair Mary Louise Smith, are mostly gone, while today’s party is badly split. The split resulted in 15 roll call votes before Kevin McCarthy won the Speaker election. At the same time, Senator McConnell, Minority Leader in the Senate, went public as he blamed former President Trump for the Republican failure to take over the Majority in the Senate.
