Hate gas prices? Blame the Saudis

By October 24, 2022No Comments

FACT OF THE DAY:  Hate gas prices?  We do, too.  The Saudis support their kingdom by using oil prices to affect elections — not just in the U.S. but in other countries.  It’s bad politics, bad international politics, and EXTREMELY MANIPULATIVE.  This year, the American oil companies, i.e., the price-gouging American oil companies, are falling for it, so we’re facing double the price-gougers every time we go to the gas pumps.

The Saudi goal is to help Russia win Putin’s war against Ukraine, a victory that would help Putin move on to the next country he intends to attack.  Saudi intention is to “increase Russian revenues and blunt the effectiveness of sanctions” to force oil buyers to turn to Russia for cheaper oil.  This, in turn, would increase Russia’s revenues so Putin can continue his war-making — war-making that could lead us to WWIII since Putin’s strategy is very similar to what was Hitler’s.

Paying price-gougers at the pump today is an investment in making certain we don’t have to do it in the future.
