Secretary Pete and President Biden are beginning to build a legacy with high-speed rail! My Dad was a Signalmaintainer with the Rock Island Railroad. Then he worried about the dying passenger rail system, but before they were gone, I grew up loving trains and riding them back and forth from Atlantic to Des Moines and once to Denver. Now I prefer trains to driving in Europe, and I always have wondered why we can’t have a great passenger train system here in the U.S. But now — thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, we begin.
