Chairman Scott held a hearing this week that emphasized the need to help farmers practice regenerative agriculture as a way to build back the topsoil. Farmers changing to regenerative agriculture would repair the damage conventional farming practices have done to the topsoil. This is important because 95% of food is grown in topsoil that does not hold the water well and produces 10% or fewer minerals and vitamins.
