Sending CONGRATS to IDAHO: An 18 Year Old Student Wins School Board Election.

Let’s give young people some credit.  Already well known for his activism on issues like “support for gun control, voting rights and supporting LGBTQ+ youth, as well as environmental issues, this student won on “platform of pushing back school start times, addressing mental health issues and climate change.”

Shiva Rajbhandari who only turned 18 just in time to be elected and serve, is likely Idaho’s only student serving on a school board.  It must be noted that his opponent, incumbent Steve Schmidt was endorsed the Idaho Liberty Dogs, which has often been described as a Far-Right “hate” group.
