On May 10th, President Joe Biden’s administration asked the U.S. Supreme Court not to hear Bayer’s (BAYGn.DE) bid to dismiss claims related to customers who believe that using the Roundup weedkiller has caused them to get cancer. Bayer — the owner of Monsanto’s Roundup products, was trying to avoid potentially billions of dollars in damages.
Approximately 140,000 plaintiffs have alleged they developed forms of cancer from exposure to Roundup and believe they should have been warned of the risk.
