On January 18th, 184 Documents were found in the 15 boxes released from Mar-a-Lago. 25 were marked TOP SECRET. Some were marked HCS, SI, and/or SCII. Last week’s FBI warrant explained:
- HCS refers to a form of “sensitive compartmented information.”
- SCI means “designed to protect intelligence information derived from clandestine human sources.”
- SI stands for “special intelligence.” All of these designations are intended to “protect technical, and intelligence information derived from the monitoring of foreign communications signals by other than the intended recipients.”
Many more documents remained after January 28th. In summary, our nation’s most guarded secrets have been found at Mar-a-Largo, and this leads to more questions, e.g., What did Trump intend to do with them? Why has he been so determined to keep them? Some of the docs have Trump’s handwriting on them. What did he write? David French writing for The Atlantic has the best description of What the Search-Warrant Affidavit Tells Us. There is much more to learn.
