Jessica Zufolo

Jessica Zufolo has been at the forefront of investment, expansion and adoption of broadband internet in rural and tribal communities for the past 30 years. Currently, she is Vice President for Magellan Advisors’ Rural Broadband Strategy, which includes broadband engineering and modeling and the development of broadband networks for municipal governments, tribal nations, and companies. Zufolo is also a founding member of the FCC’s Precision Agriculture Taskforce. Her prior experience includes serving as Senior Advisor for Strategic Partnerships for the Lifeline Division at the Universal Service Administrative Company and serving as Deputy Administrator for the USDA’s Rural Utilities Service, where she supported the oversight of a $65 billion federal loan and grant portfolio that finances telecommunications and broadband networks, smart grid and electric systems, water treatment systems, precision agriculture, and renewable energy projects. Zufolo has also worked on Capitol Hill for Senator Charles Schumer, Rep. Peter Defazio, and the late Senator Patrick Moynihan. Zufolo holds an MBA with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.A. in Military History and Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder.
