The Census has shown that rural citizens have more disabilities than urban. Although some people say this is only because rural folks have gotten better about reporting, it could be that the lack of health care in rural America contributes to this higher rate. It may also be that some of the most dangerous jobs take place in rural America, e.g., farmers, logging workers, truck drivers, oil rig workers, and derrick operators in the oil and mining industry, and power linemen are in the top ten most dangerous jobs.
