Obey served as Deputy Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer for Families USA, where he played a vital role in establishing the Protect Our Care Coalition and helping defend the Affordable Care Act. He previously served as Senior Vice President of the National Parks Conservation Association. In this role, Obey led national strategies and built alliances to conserve, protect, and guarantee access to National Parks and public lands, collaborating closely with Congress and the executive branch.
