Sometimes news coverages talk about saving Ukraine for Ukrainians, but as Western Europe and the U.S. stand together to help Ukraine defend itself, we also defend ourselves. Remember how WWII started slowly? Germans voted for Hitler, deliberately choosing to disband their democracy. Voters were impatient, wanting instant solutions for inflation and the economy. In doing so they fell into Hitler’s trap that sought to catch everyone — individuals and countries, one by one. Finally, with every European country caught in Hitler’s trap, Hitler dissolving governments one by one, and the Holocaust ongoing, the U.S. stepped in (with the U.K.) to lead and fight a very difficult, much larger war than if, in the beginning, all the countries had stood together.
Now we stand together — against Putin’s war to take Ukraine and to add more countries to his “web.” As we stand together, we also stop Putin from beginning WWIII.
