More Executive Orders. More lawsuits.

On his first day, Trump signed 100 executive orders. Among them were orders declaring immigration an emergency, an attempt to end birthright citizenship, and a directive to rename the Gulf of Mexico. George Washington University historian Matthew Dallek said, “It’s kind of an executive-order shock-and-awe,” as he paraphrased the president, saying Trump was trying to kick off his presidency by beginning “the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense.” Attorneys were ready, filing lawsuits within 24 hours.
