Hegseth Next Up — another test whether Senators have backbones

By December 7, 2024No Comments

Paul Eaton — Major General in the U.S. Army retired and a Senior Advisor to VoteVets, makes no bones about it: Trump’s Purity boards and his purge of the United States Military must be stopped.  Conservative opinion writer David Ignatius calls Trump’s pick of Pete Hegseth as defense secretary and Tulsi Gabbard to be in charge of national security a “wrecking crew” set to attack our national security.

Like Gaetz, Hegseth is anti-women, has been charged with rape, opposes women taking any roles in the U.S. Military, and wants to “clean house” at the Pentagon — not just women but generals who would be required to do a loyalty oath to Trump.

The U.S. Military currently (and always historically) swears allegiance to the American people, not to any president.

Meanwhile, Trump appears to be getting the message, and there are rumors that he will replace Hegseth with another nominee.
