Minnesota State Chair Ken Martin is the leading candidate for the Democratic National Committee Chair. He’s a pro with good organizing experience and an ear for messaging—the need for Democrats to talk with and prioritize the whole country.
For rural America, this means Martin is the kind of guy who won’t forget rural America. He understands that the Farm Bill, blocked by House Republicans, is life and death for the rural economy. Backing this up, Martin can be expected to fight tooth and nail against Trump’s Project 2025, which calls for eliminating the Farm Bill and making changes that would hurt Social Security and Medicare.
Martin has called for a new DNC “framework” and has followed up with a “10 Point Plan.” The Plan is the start of a big “TO DO” list that the DNC must tackle. See it here:
A New DNC Framework: Build to Win, Build to Expand, Build to Last.
This is a new approach — no more cherry-picking. It sounds good to use here at My Rural America.
