Tim Walz, governor, Member of Congress, football coach, teacher, hunter, and 24 years of service in the National Guard, was amazing (again!) tonight as he accepted the nomination for Vice President. We’ll share news stories and the text of the speech tomorrow, but for now, let’s remember that as Walz told his story tonight, he said, “Thank God for Social Security Survivor Benefits!” When Walz was a kid, and his Dad died, SS Survivor benefits saved the family.
