How Walz Completes the Harris Ticket

Vice president picks say volumes about the person selecting them.

Think about it:   Carter-Mondale, Bush-Cheney, Clinton-Gore, Trump-Pence, Obama-Biden

Now: Harris-Walz vs. Trump-Vance.   Positive about the Future Vs. Everything is Wrong.

Already, we see VP Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz’s energy.  We learn Walz’ policy commitments in his six terms in Congress:

  • House of Representatives: Agriculture, Armed Services, and Veterans’ Affairs. Ranking member of the Agriculture Subcommittee on General Farm Commodities and Risk Management.
  • He also is one of nine House Members to serve on the Congressional-Executive Commission on China. Walz serves as co-chair of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, and has leadership posts with the National Guard and Reserve Caucus and the Congressional Veterans Jobs Caucus.

As governor, Walz made sure that kids eat for free at school lunch.  signed the PRO Act (Protect Reproductive Options Act) into law (Jan. 2023) and also an executive order to protect the right of residents to have access to gender-affirming health care.  (March, 2023).

In response to conservative criticism, Walz made it clear, “What a monster! Kids are eating and having full bellies so they can go learn, and women are making their own healthcare decisions. And we’re a top-five business state and we also rank in the top three of happiness,” Walz said.

Walz had a way with words, including helping launch the “weird” movement among his fellow Democrats, which has gained traction and put former President Donald Trump, his vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance and other Republicans on the defensive.
