“Childless Cat Women” aren’t the only insults in Vance’s vocabulary

At first, I considered JD Vance’s hatred of Childless Cat Women just plain sad and also funny. Then he made it worse, saying he doesn’t have anything against cats, so apparently, it’s only women he despises.

But wait, somehow—even with his fancy education—other things he has said are worse. For example, Vance provided the first blurb on the jacket of the recent Unhumans book, saying, “In the past, communists marched in the streets waving red flags. Today, they march through H.R., college campuses, and courtrooms to wage lawfare against good, honest people.”

It took my breath away.  The book Unhumans is a screed against all that we know and love about America.

Like your Social Security?  Like Medicare?  Like your kids going to public schools?  You’re in the “unhuman” category, probably a leech on society.   You are likely to also be a Communist.  Project 2025 (written by 13 of Trump’s staff) identified these programs as toast, burnt toast, should Trump-Vance rise to power again.

At best, Vance’s screed resembles Joseph R. McCarthy’s.  In 1950, Joe claimed in a speech that he had a list of “members of the Communist Party and members of a spy ring” who were employed in the State Department.  Well, no, he did not.

McCarthy didn’t bother with facts and nor does Vance.   But all this name-calling ruined careers in the 1950s, and Trump-Vance could do so again as they sling their fake news and make unjustified name-calls in their effort to put their big squeeze on the Middle Class.

For a long time, I thought that people who went to fancy Ivy League schools were supposed to be smart.  Well, no.  That 2013 law degree he earned from Yale University doesn’t seem to be working.  Yale should withdraw Vance’s diploma.

At a minimum, one would think that Vance would learn that people who pay taxes, send their kids to public schools, and look forward to when they are eligible for Social Security and Medicare are NOT “unhuman” or “subhuman.”

We are part of the Middle Class.  We pay out taxes.  We expect services.  We are not “unhuman” or “subhuman.” We are not Communists.
