1400+ Organizations ask Congress to protect SNAP

The Majority of House members want to cut $30 billion in food assistance from SNAP—the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program. More than 1400 organizations wrote to say NO!

MY RURAL AMERICA suggests that the Members of Congress who prefer children and families to be hungry should be encouraged to take back some of those tax breaks for the wealthy they want to enact.   Instead of fussing about budget deficits, they should get serious and tax the richest five per cent of this country much more.
