More Reasons for House Repubs & FCIC’s Crop Insurance to Wake UP!

We wrote earlier in an Opinion that House AG Committee Republicans were risking farmers’ futures by refusing to fund Natural Resources and Conservations plans to help farmers adjust to changing land and water challenges.  FCIC (Federal Crop Insurance Corporation) insurance programs also need to evaluate and update the risk of all the crop insurance programs FCIC offers — no truly experienced agronomist and economist expertise evaluating the program means the program is at risk.

It is crisis time for water. In Kansas, farmers face a serious “Time for Reckoning”   as lawmakers scramble to push for water cuts to help save the Ogallala Aquifer.
