$7.8 Million of illegal foreign money has been documented so far as having been accepted into Trump’s coffers. Most of the money came from China — $5.5 Million. In second place, Saudi Arabia pitched in $615,000. The remainder was split between 18 other countries. Most of the payments were hidden, with the cash running through Trump’s business interests when specific foreign policy matters were being decided in the White House.
Trump’s accounting firm, Mazars USA, has stopped representing Mr. Trump and admitted they could no longer stand behind their decades of work for Trump’s businesses. The U.S. Constitution prohibits a president from accepting gifts, payments, or money “of any kind whatever” from foreign monarchs or governments without “the consent of Congress.” No request to Congress was made.
