Are you one of the lower-to-middle class who received Biden’s American Rescue Act’s $1400 federal payment that people used to tide them over as the Covid Shutdown concluded, but the jobs hadn’t come back?
Do you have kids, and do you remember the child tax credit? Maybe this question should be reframed: Do you appreciate it? $300 per child per month.
The child tax credit has expired. Republicans have stopped it from continuing repeatedly. Democrats believe families need support, and the child tax crdit should be made permanent.
Tell me: There is a lot of talk about inflation right now, and yes, inflation is real, but if — as Republicans are accusing — it is true that aid for families caused the inflation, would you have preferred to have gone without it? This aid kept roofs over the kids’ heads and helped put food in their mouths. Was that a bad thing? Go ahead; I’m listening.
