Liz Truss’ Big Tax Cuts Cause Pound’s value against the Dollar to be its lowest in 37 years

Oh my.  Liz Truss, the UK’s new Prime Minister, was first to throw the Queen under the bus as she jumped in to say, “Long Live the King!”   (Usually, people wait until someone is buried before jumping into to celebrate.).

But now she’s jumped in to pass a huge tax cut without even a glimmer of an idea as to how to pay for it, or what programs to cut.  Her reward was to see the pound sink to its lowest value in 37 years. Economists say the measure will kick up inflation and debt.  Of course, this can be expected … the same thing happened in the U.S. when Trump slashed taxes for the rich.
